Year 5 visit Helmshore Mills – 18th January 2023

Year 5 had an amazing visit to Helmshore Mills on Wednesday.

They learned so much about the Lancashire cotton industry and how it developed between the 18th and 19th centuries. They saw the spinning machines at work and learnt about the terrible working conditions in the mills in the past . In the afternoon, they took part in a felt making session which was a little messy but really fun!!
