OFSTED and SIAMS

Our Most Recent Inspections

OFSTED

Our most recent Ofsted inspection took place on 27th February 2018 –  when we were visited by Mrs Elizabeth Stevens HMI. The main headline is that Tarleton Holy Trinity CE Primary School continues to be a GOOD SCHOOL.

The report is very postive, and states that, ‘The school is at the heart of the local community and pupils enjoy taking part in many activities and celebrations in the village and local area.’ Click on the link below to read the full report.

Every parent/carer has the right to comment on how they think the school is performing using the Parent View website. Click HERE to let Ofsted know how good we are!!

SIAMS

Since we are a Church School we also are judged by SIAMS (Statutory Inspection for Anglican and Methodist Schools. On the 26th June 2014 Mrs Woodcock carried out our most recent inspection and judged us to be ‘Outstanding’ in every aspect…you can’t get any better than that!!

During this academic year, THT will be subject to a Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS). This is because we are a church school and it is a legal requirement that we have both Ofsted and SIAMS inspections. At the time of our last inspection we were judged to be ‘Outstanding’. However, this paragraph is to let you know that we will not be ‘Outstanding’ in the next inspection.

Since September 2018, the inspection criteria has been updated and changed. The new criteria is rigorous, challenging and now more in line with the Ofsted system of grading schools.

The National Church of England Education Office is promoting that the aim of all church schools is to be a ‘Good’ church school where “the schools distinctive Christian vision, established and promoted by leadership at all levels” enables pupils and adults to flourish. However, if a school is better than Good then it can be judged as Excellent.

We are proud of our whole school community and we will as always be striving to be the best church school we can be. We hope that this will be recognised by the inspector. The inspection could take place in the Spring term – it could be in the Summer… We will let you know when we know the date of the inspection.
