The Air Ambulance borrows our School Field – 22nd January 2024

At the end of dinnertime today, I was talking to Mrs Willingham when we heard a helicopter…it got closer and closer.

It was the Air Ambulance which was landing on our field as the paramedics on board needed to get to a patient nearby.

The children were allowed out onto the yard to see the helicopter and Danny, the pilot, told us that he had flown from Blackpool – which in the wind – took them about 10 minutes.

The patient they were helping was then flown to Preston.

We hope the patient is OK and makes a speedy recovery.

It makes you thankful that the Air Ambulance Charity is there to help in situations like today!!
