Pupil Conference on Giants of Faith – November 2024
Earlier this week, 2 pupils from Year 6 attended the Blackburn Diocese Board of Education’s Pupil Conference on Giants of Faith
The theme of the conference was Giants of Faith and the children learned about God’s heart for justice, how to pray courageously and how to campaign for causes that they care about.
Our children were immersed in:
Measures of Faith, pioneers of justice, agents of change.
They identified characteristics and roles of Giants of Faith.
They heard about God’s Heart for Justice:
How to help people and the world flourish
The importance of prayer
How everyone’s voice matters
They identified local/social/global areas which are an issue and need change and they developed action plans for change.
We were very proud of our children who engaged with children’s and adults alike to share and listen to ideas.
They sang, worshipped, prayed, laughed, thought, ate and drank lots of lovely food, worked very hard and had lots of ideas to bring back to school.
