Year 3 enjoy their Roman Day – 28th June 2017

Year 3 had a Roman afternoon today and it was a big hit. The children were all inducted into the Holy Trinity 20th Legion with a few honourable mentions…which will be announced on Friday. Marcus Demascus taught the children to march, how to arm and defend themselves…they marched into battle as well as falling to line. And even Mrs Wallis joined in!!

At lunchtime, the children tasted Roman Pottage (a thick stew) which they ate with freshly made bread with assorted fruits as a dessert. Many of the children went back for seconds (and thirds…)

It was a fantastic day and they all really enjoyed the afternoon!
