For more information regarding this year’s Reception Admissions you can read our Admissions Policy for 2026 by clicking here, or by visiting the Policy Page Section section of this website. For present Reception Class places, admissions are processed through Lancashire County Council until November, after that, Tarleton Holy Trinity then deals with the admissions as an ‘in year’ transition.
For “in year” transitions
In-year admission is the process of applying for a school place during the school year. Any application for the intake made after the start of the autumn term will be treated as an in-year application.
The in-year admission process is managed by the school. Parents are required to complete the in-year application form, which is available by clicking here. Where a place cannot be secured, parents will be offered a legal right to appeal to an independent appeal panel. Lancashire County Council administers the appeals process on behalf of the school. Parents can complete the school’s appeal form Appeal for a school place – Lancashire County Council on Lancashire county council’s website.

Proposed Admission Arrangements for September 2027
Every so often schools need to go to Consultation for its Admission Arrangements for September 2027.
Our school needs to consult because it has been seven years since we last consulted (this is a legal requirement).
The consultation takes place over a six (working) week period.
Clear here to see the Proposed Admission arrangements. They were agreed by the Curriculum and Standards Governor Committee on 23rd October and I would be interested if any parents / carers disagreed with anything outlined in the document. Please contact the school using the information below. We do follow guidance from the Diocese and from LCC, and the criteria outlined in the Arrangements have not changed from previous years.
The consultation starts officially on 4th November 2025.
