Last week Y5 had an most enjoyable day visiting Helmshore Mills Textile Museum. We learnt about the The Cotton Industry and about the life of Victorian children at home, working in the mills and about the well known people who tried to improve lives. As well as seeing spinning and weaving machines, we all got to handle Victorian artefacts. This helped us to understand more about what life was like growing up in the Victorian times and the difficulties that the children often faced. Throughout the day, our behaviour was excellent and we would definitely return.
