Year 4’s RE – February 2017

This term in R.E we have been looking at authority. We looked at what authority means and which people have authority. We looked at why it is important that we let people have authority. We also looked at can people use their authority in a bad way as well as a good way. We found out the answer was yes. Lots have people have used their authority in a bad way in the past. For example King Henry VIII used his authority to chop of his wife’s heads. Adolf Hitler used his authority to start a world war! It is important people have authority to make rules. If we didn’t have rules then the world would be a mad place. Authority is a good thing but people go against people with it. That’s how people start wars and conflict.
