THT take part in the SPAR Lancashire School Games Baton Relay – 28th February 2022

This morning, two of our pupils took part in the SPAR Lancashire School Games Baton Relay to celebrate the Commonwealth Games, Birmingham 2022. It takes place throughout the week of Monday 28th February to Friday 4th March.

A baton and banner will travel around 57 schools in West Lancashire and will finish on the Friday afternoon at Mossy Lea Primary. They will then hand over to the Chorley District on Monday morning 7th March for the baton to continue its journey around Lancashire.
The baton and banner started with Bretherton Endowed CE Primary School who then brought them to THT. We then took our part in the relay, handing the baton and banner to pupils from Tarleton Academy.
THT, Bretherton and Tarleton Academy took part in a short opening ceremony by the SPAR Lancashire School Games Organising Committee, as we have the honour of being the first District En-route to the Lancashire Finals in July.

It was lovely that two of the Tarleton Academy students who came to THT this morning are former pupils of ours!! Good to see Leah and Oliver again!!
