THT join in with the Bee in the City Project – 24th May 2018

It is now a year since the terrible bombing in Manchester. Our friends at Tarleton Community Primary have invited us, and Hesketh with Becconsall All Saints, to join in with an Art project which is part of their memorial for Saffie Rose.
6 of our children from our KS2 walked down to TCP and helped paint a statue of a Bee – which will be part a Bee in the City Project, part of the memorials in Manchester to remember those who died.

Written below is what will accompany the TCP Bee:
The bee is inspired by the life of Saffie-Rose Roussos who sadly lost her life and was the youngest victim of the Manchester Arena Attack. Children from her school, Tarleton Community Primary, created it with the help of friends from two other local primary schools: Tarleton Holy Trinity and All Saints Hesketh and Becconsall. All the children involved were in Saffie’s year. Whilst the bee celebrates Saffie’s life, it also celebrates communities coming together at difficult times to support each other. Love conquers all. We all miss you Saffie.
