Things to do at home during Lockdown – January 2021

Dear Parents / Carers,

Please read the following message for extra ideas that you can do at home with your child / children during lockdown.

The Teachers are busy putting together learning packs for pupils this week, most of which will contain some reading books. To supplement this Mrs Birkby has collated a list of websites which provides access to free books for the children to read or videos of people reading stories to them. She also recommends that you register with Oxford Owl to access books from our Reading Scheme.
Click here to see some other reading websites that Mrs Birkby recommends.
The BBC are also providing new resources .
The primary programmes, which will be broadcast on CBBC from 09:00 every day, will include BBC Live Lessons and BBC Bitesize Daily as well as Our School, Celebrity Supply Teacher, Horrible Histories and Operation Ouch.  https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize
Joe Wicks is restarting his online PE lessons from next week, to help families keep fit during lockdown. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAxW1XT0iEJo0TYlRfn6rYQ
