The End of an Era!!

It was in September 2014 that Father Nicholas came to me with the idea of starting a Bell Ringing Club for the children of Tarleton Holy Trinity…and so it began, one of the only Primary school bell ringing clubs in the country!!

Over the last couple of years, every Tuesday after school, 18 children in total (and one Headteacher) have been taught to ring the church bells. We have rung for Christmas services, Easter Services, Leaver’s services, one wedding and of course Father Nicholas’ Leaving service. The club will continue with Fr Martin Daniels (from St Thomas with St Jude’s in Blackburn) leading the meetings…but we will be sad to be losing Fr Nic – the founder of the club!! We celebrated his leaving by giving him a card – and by eating a few chocolates!!
