Year 4 Walking Like and Egyptian – 23rd May 2018

Yesterday, Year 4 were visited by the amazing Professor Tuesday as part of their Egyptian Day.

Year 4 spent the day learning about Ancient Egypt timelines, tombs, Tutankhamen and exploring artefacts – using Claim, Support, and Question techniques.

They learned about Howard Carter and how we owe a lot to this great Egyptologist.  They also enjoyed an Egyptian feast, danced, sang and walked like an Egyptian.

Later on in the afternoon, they “mummified” an Egyptian Priest and then enjoyed making secondary source artefacts to accompany the mummy on his journey to the afterlife!

Good fun was had by all and their costumes were amazing!
